Description

Interior wall waterproof coating is a waterproof material specially used for indoor walls. It has excellent waterproof and moisture-proof properties, as well as good adhesion, crack resistance and durability. Its main ingredients usually include high molecular polymer emulsion, cement, inorganic filler and a variety of additives, which can form a dense waterproof film on the wall surface and effectively prevent moisture penetration. The coating has strong alkali resistance, weather resistance and mildew and antibacterial properties, and can adapt to various indoor environments to prevent the wall from mildew, peeling or cracking due to moisture. Its construction method is simple, usually by brushing, rolling or spraying, and can dry quickly to form a smooth or slightly textured decorative surface. Interior wall waterproof coating is environmentally friendly and non-toxic, meeting the requirements of modern buildings for environmental protection and health. It is widely used in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, balconies and other places susceptible to moisture. It can be used alone or in combination with materials such as tiles and putty to enhance the overall waterproof effect. According to different usage requirements, interior wall waterproof coatings can be divided into flexible, rigid and flexible-rigid combination types. Flexible coatings have better elasticity and are suitable for slightly cracked base surfaces, while rigid coatings have high hardness and are suitable for solid and stable base surfaces. In addition, the washability, air permeability and mildew resistance of interior wall waterproof coatings are also important indicators for measuring their quality. High-quality waterproof coatings can not only meet the waterproof function, but also maintain the air permeability of the wall surface, avoiding bulging or falling off caused by water vapor accumulation, thereby effectively extending the service life of the wall.

Advantages

1. Good waterproof performance

It can form a dense waterproof film on the wall, effectively prevent water penetration, and protect the wall from moisture.

2. Easy construction

It can be applied by brushing, rolling or spraying, which is flexible to operate and has high construction efficiency. It is suitable for various bases and reduces construction difficulty and time.

3. Excellent adhesion

It can be firmly combined with concrete, mortar, masonry and other substrates, and is not easy to fall off, ensuring the long-term stability of the waterproof layer.

4. Environmentally friendly and non-toxic

It adopts a water-based formula, has no irritating odor, does not contain harmful substances, meets environmental protection requirements, is suitable for indoor use, and is harmless to human health.

5. Strong weather resistance and durability

It can resist the erosion of high humidity environment, maintain waterproof effect for a long time, is not easy to powder or age, and prolongs service life.

6. Good flexibility

It can adapt to slight deformation and slight cracking of the wall, avoid failure of the waterproof layer due to structural changes, and is especially suitable for bases with certain deformation.

7. Anti-mildew and antibacterial properties

Effectively prevents mold growth, keeps indoor walls dry and clean, suitable for humid environments, and reduces the impact of mold on the living environment.

8. Excellent alkali resistance

Can resist the erosion of alkaline substances in cement mortar, ensuring that the waterproof layer is not damaged during long-term use.

9. Good air permeability

Allows the wall to "breathe" while waterproofing, avoiding bulging or peeling caused by moisture accumulation, and keeping the inside of the wall dry.

10. Good decorative effect

The surface is smooth and delicate, and can be used directly or matched with decorative materials such as putty and paint to meet different aesthetic needs and enhance the overall visual effect of the interior.

Construction Suggestions

Before applying waterproof coating, sprinkle water on the base to keep it moist but without visible water, so as to enhance the adhesion of the coating and avoid the failure of the coating film due to excessive water absorption by the base.

Before construction, the waterproof coating needs to be fully stirred to ensure uniform distribution of ingredients and avoid precipitation. If necessary, it can be diluted with water according to the product instructions, but it should not be over-diluted to avoid affecting the waterproof performance.

It can be applied by brushing, rolling or spraying. The first coat should be evenly applied without omission. After the surface is dry, the second coat should be applied. It is recommended to cross-brush twice to ensure that the coating film evenly covers the entire wall and improve the waterproof effect.

Each coat should not be too thick, usually controlled at 0.5-1mm, and constructed in multiple times to reach the designed thickness. The general thickness of the waterproof layer needs to reach 1.5-2mm to avoid cracking or uneven drying caused by excessive coating at one time.

After the construction is completed, it should be avoided from water immersion or external force damage before it is completely dry. It usually needs to be left to stand for more than 24 hours to ensure that it is completely cured before proceeding with subsequent decoration processes, such as pasting tiles or applying putty.

Additional reinforcement layers should be used in key areas such as wall corners, pipe interfaces, and the junction between the ground and the wall, such as attaching waterproof cloth or applying one or two coats of waterproof paint to prevent leakage hazards.

After the waterproof layer is constructed, a closed water test or a water spray test should be carried out to check whether there is leakage, bubbling or shedding, and the next process can be entered only after the waterproof effect meets the requirements.

Transportation And Storage Methods

Waterproof coatings are usually water-based materials. During transportation, they should be protected from exposure to the sun, rain and freezing. Especially in low-temperature environments, antifreeze measures should be taken to prevent the coating from freezing and becoming ineffective.

Waterproof coatings should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated indoor environment, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature exposure. The storage temperature is generally recommended to be between 5℃-35℃.

The storage area should be away from fire sources, heat sources and flammable and explosive items to prevent safety accidents.

Moisture or rain should be avoided to prevent the coating from deteriorating and affecting the construction effect.

During storage, the paint bucket should be sealed and covered tightly to prevent the paint from volatilizing or drying, which will affect its performance.

Under normal circumstances, the shelf life of waterproof coatings is 6-12 months. The specific product instructions shall prevail. Products that exceed the shelf life must be tested and confirmed before use.

During storage, the production date should be checked regularly to ensure that it is used within the shelf life to prevent the construction effect from being affected by the deterioration of the paint.

Application Areas

Interior wall waterproof coatings are mainly used in the fields of construction and decoration. They are widely used in kitchens, bathrooms, basements, balconies, storage rooms and other moisture-prone areas of residential, commercial and industrial buildings to prevent moisture, water seepage and mildew on the walls. It is also suitable for places with high requirements for environmental hygiene, such as hospitals, schools and hotels, to ensure that the walls are dry and clean. In addition, interior wall waterproof coatings are also important in the renovation of old houses, wall renovation and fine decoration projects, which can improve the durability and aesthetics of the walls.
