 Acrylic High-Elasticity Waterproof Coating for Metal Roof is a single-component water-based waterproof coating specially developed for metal structures. It takes advanced pure acrylic emulsion as the main raw material and is formulated by adding other auxiliaries. The product has the properties of high solid content, strong elasticity, aging resistance, low-temperature resistance, excellent UV resistance, heat-insulating waterproofing, and mildew resistance. With the reinforcement of sewn polyester cloth, it is suitable for direct exposed waterproofing projects on metal roofs, as well as waterproofing, anti-seepage, and moisture-proofing projects for external walls, balconies, etc.

Base Course Treatment

High-pressure clean the roof to be waterproofed. The surface of the base course shall be flat, solid, free of sharp corners, floating dust and standing water. Oil stains must be removed completely. Depressed and damaged areas shall be repaired. Rusty metal roofs shall undergo anti-corrosion treatment first.

Large-area Brushing

A coating film with a thickness of 1.5mm - 2mm is preferably applied in 3 - 4 coats to form a film. Each coat can only be applied after the previous one dries (usually with an interval of 6 - 12 hours), and the brushing directions should be perpendicular to each other. If a base reinforcement material needs to be added, the base material should be flat, free of wrinkles, and fully soaked. The thickness of the coating film under the base shall not be less than 1mm, and the thickness of the upper coating film shall not be less than 0.5mm.

Detailed Nodes

A. Lap joints of metal roofs: First, apply a layer of coating to the lap joints of metal roofs. When the coating is still wet, embed a 15 - 20 cm wide sewn polyester cloth into it, and then fully soak the sewn polyester cloth with the coating from above until it is completely dry.

B. Protrusions on metal roofs (such as chimneys, air vents, fan openings, etc.): Cut a sewn polyester cloth with appropriate size and shape according to technical requirements. Apply a layer of coating around the protrusion, lay the cut sewn polyester cloth on it, and then fully soak the sewn polyester cloth with the coating from above to ensure no blistering or wrinkling.

C. Fasteners on metal roofs: Use 10cm × 10cm sewn polyester cloth and treat them in the same way as described above.

D. Gutters of metal roofs: First, perform local waterproofing treatment on gutter lap joints, drain outlets, etc. Then apply a layer of coating in a larger waterproofing area. When the coating is still wet, lay non-woven polyester cloth on it, and then fully soak the non-woven polyester cloth with special waterproof coating for steel structures from above until it is completely dry. After at least 12 hours, finally apply another layer of special waterproof coating for steel structures.

This product is packaged in plastic buckets, with a net weight of 20kg per bucket.

When storing the product, ensure ventilation and dryness, and avoid direct sunlight. The storage temperature should be maintained between 5°C and 40°C.

Under normal storage conditions, the shelf life of the product is 6 months from the date of production.

This product is non-flammable and non-explosive, and can be transported as general cargo. During transportation, prevent freezing, rain exposure, sun exposure, extrusion, and collision, and keep the product packaging in good condition.
