Waterproof Paint For Walls
This is a finishing material designed for surfaces exposed to moisture. It is ideal for areas such as bathrooms, kitchens and high humidity areas.
Due to its structure, waterproof paint resists mold, mildew and is easy to clean, making it a popular choice for all types of rooms and objects.
Liquid paints differ in their composition, and their properties and characteristics vary. For example, there are different types of film-forming substances and bases. Each type of paint has a matte and glossy finish. Matte finish will hide minor surface defects and uneven surfaces. Glossy – visually expands the space.

Alkyd
Oil and enamel materials that emit a pungent odor due to the presence of toxic alkyd resins. They must be diluted with special solvents when painting. They have a dense covering layer and durability. Can be used for outdoor work.
01
Acrylic
The base material is acrylic resin, which has elasticity and strength. The paint does not fade in the sun and is easy to clean. After painting, a dense film is formed on the surface.
02
Silicate
For outdoor decoration, contains silicate glue. Due to the presence of silicates, the paint is able to penetrate deeply into the substrate and is highly resistant to temperature changes, rain and snow.
03
Latex
The main material used in paint is rubber, which usually provides an elastic coating that can resist sunlight and moisture.
04
Water-based
Non-toxic, waterproof, heat-resistant, and non-flammable water-based paints. They will not adhere to adhesive or painted walls.
05
Advantages
Ability to remain on the wall for a long time and remain beautiful without renewal;
No need to remove the previous layer before renewing the paint. For maintenance, just wash the wall with water or wipe it with a damp sponge;
The paint is economical, the consumption per square meter is low, the paint dries quickly;
The coating is resistant to mechanical damage, pathogenic fungi and sunlight exposure;
A wide range of colors, shades and textures will help decorate any interior;
The coating is antistatic, environmentally friendly, durable, hygienic, hypoallergenic;
Due to its universal composition, the paint can be used in places of any purpose: children's rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, offices, restaurants, cafes and hotels;
It looks unusual and luxurious, easy to match any interior style from classic to high-tech.
Working Advice
- Surface cleaning, large defects repair. For coating, the wall does not have to be completely flat, but it is usually more convenient to use a horizontal surface.
- The composition is ready for use: some adhesives are sold in solid form, which must first be softened.
- Paint the wall using a brush or roller. For thick and dense adhesives, it is sometimes more convenient to use a spatula.
- After the first layer has dried, apply the coating again. In order to reliably protect the walls and coat all areas well, it is recommended to apply at least 2-3 layers of mastic.
- Level the base;
- Primer;
- Install the reinforcement mesh (optional);
- Mix the composition in the required proportions;
- Apply a layer of plaster, level the mixture and create a neat surface.
Plaster can cover small defects in the exterior walls and provide basic waterproofing. For underground areas, an additional layer of insulation may be necessary.
Transportation And Storage
Waterproof coatings should avoid direct exposure to sunlight, especially when transported in high temperature for a long time. Excessive temperature will cause the coating to deteriorate, change viscosity, and even solidify. The ideal transportation temperature is usually between 5°C and 35°C, avoiding overheating or low temperature conditions.
Waterproof coatings should be packed in suitable packaging materials, usually in barrels or bags with original factory sealed packaging, to ensure that the packaging is intact to prevent leakage or contamination.
The environment for storing waterproof coatings should maintain a temperature range of 5°C to 30°C. Avoid extreme temperatures (high or low temperatures) to ensure the quality and stability of the coating.
After each use of waterproof coating, ensure that the container is tightly sealed to prevent moisture in the air from entering and causing the coating to dry or solidify, especially the opened coating should be sealed in time. For paint buckets, the sealing of the bucket cover should be checked regularly to prevent the paint from leaking or drying.
Application Areas
Bathroom, kitchen: Wall waterproof coatings can effectively prevent water vapor or moisture penetration and protect the wall from moisture damage.
Basement walls: Since basements are in a humid environment for a long time, waterproof coatings can help prevent water seepage on the walls and prevent mold growth.
Balconies and terraces: The walls of terraces or balconies need to resist the erosion of rainwater from the outside, and waterproof coatings can effectively prevent water seepage on the walls.
Commercial buildings: Shopping centers, hotels, office buildings and other public buildings: The walls of these buildings also need to be waterproof to extend the service life of the building, especially in basements or areas exposed to water sources.
Industrial buildings: Warehouses and factories: The walls inside some factories and warehouses are susceptible to moisture damage, and the use of waterproof coatings can enhance their moisture resistance.
Special environments such as pools, cold storage, and pharmaceutical factories: The walls in these places require higher waterproofness and corrosion resistance.
Transportation facilities: Tunnels, bridges, subways, etc.: These structures are underground or exposed to harsh environments, and wall waterproof coatings can prevent moisture penetration and reduce structural damage.
External wall protection: External wall waterproofing: In some areas with humid climates or frequent rains, applying a layer of waterproof coating on the exterior walls of buildings can effectively prevent rainwater from invading the walls and avoid wall damage.
High-rise buildings: Especially high-rise buildings are exposed to wind and rain, and waterproof coatings can effectively protect the exterior walls from moisture.
Special coating applications: High-temperature resistant, acid-resistant and alkali-resistant waterproof coatings: In some special places (such as chemical plants, sewage treatment plants, etc.), not only waterproofing is required, but also the coating is required to have corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance and other characteristics.
There are many types of wall waterproof coatings, and you can choose the right product according to different needs to ensure the effect of the coating and the long-term protection of the building.
